Eagle Bahn Gondola
The Eagle Bahn Gondola is the main gondola that rises out of Lionshead Village. This gondola gives guests at Vail access to terrain that ranges from beginner to expert. Take this gondola to access the Game Creek Bowl and Game Creek Restaurant, as well as the beginner learning area at the top.
Eagle's Nest & Adventure Ridge @ Top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola
You’ll find the Eagle’s Nest located at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola. There is a beginner’s learning area adjacent to this building with several carpet lifts that are used by the ski school. This is also where Adventure Ridge is located, and you can expect a range of fun activities here in both the winter and summer seasons.
Gondola One
This is the newest of Vail’s two gondolas. Built in 2012, Gondola One brings skiers and riders from the Mountain Plaza base area in Vail Village up to Mid-Vail and the bottom of Lifts #3 and #4. This is a good place to begin your day if you are headed to Vail’s Back Bowls or Blue Sky Basin.
At the top of Gondola One:
Mid-Vail
This central area at the top of Gondola One encompasses a combo of mid-mountain lodges and restaurants. The Wildwoods Express and Mountaintop Express Lifts (#3 & #4) both ascend from here and a lot of terrain funnels down to the Mid-Vail area as well. This makes Mid-Vail one of the busiest places on the mountain during a typical ski day.
The 10th Restaurant
The 10th is a classy mid-mountain restaurant that is open for lunch 7 days/week during the ski season. The restaurant opened in December of 2011, one year before Gondola One was built.
The restaurant can be rented for private dinner events and weddings during the winter and summer seasons.
