The equipment rentals here are top-notch… if that’s what you want to pay for. Most ski shops here and throughout CO will offer different levels of performance equipment. If you want to ski on the best stuff, then you can do that. If you are a beginner and don’t want to have to pay for the best stuff, you don’t have to pay top dollar.

Christy Sports
Christy Sports is Colorado’s largest chain of ski rental locations, and you’ll find these stores at almost all the major CO resorts. The Christy Sports in Aspen is located at the St. Regis hotel, just down the road from the gondola. Save money by booking your rental reservations in advance.
Aspen Ski Rental FAQ
A top demo rental package at Christy Sports will cost $80+ this year if you just show up without a reservation. You can save about $15 by booking online in advance. Beginner equipment rentals and kids ski rental packages are all slightly cheaper.
AspenX is located directly below the stairs up to the Silver Queen Gondola, and this is the closest rental location to the hill.
This is on the bottom floor of the St. Regis hotel, within about 3 city blocks of the gondola. You can access the store from the outside (you don’t need to go through the lobby etc).
Yes, almost all ski rental shops in Aspen will have a helmet for you, but this is not included in the rental package cost. Expect to pay about $15 for a helmet rental.
