Comments & Discussion
This photo was acquired through an Ebay sale, in a lot that contained another photo with the same woman on Berthoud Pass. While that photo is undated, she appears to be wearing the same outfit, she has the same purse, and her hair appears to be untouched between photos, so it is believed that they were both taken on the same day.
The full scan below shows a thin white border that measures just over 1/16th of an inch. The previous photo (CL-14) shows a sign for Arapahoe Basin in the background. That sign’s location would have been approximately 1-5 feet to the left out of this image’s frame if the sign was still there.
Condition, Aging & Authenticity: Fading of the date stamp on the back is consistent with age. There is a fair amount of warping and waving of the surface upon arrival into the archive. Some cracking can be seen on the right side.
The backside shows that this was obviously affixed into a photo album at one point.
