Brief Description

This Continental Divide sign image, captured in 2009, shows a sign that looks very much like the signs that existed here in the early 1980s. However, there are a few small differences. The spacing of the letters is the most obvious difference between the signs. Some also have different angles and different signposts.

Comments & Discussion

This sign is located on the same side of the road as the previous signs. The US Forest Service logo can be seen in the upper right of the sign. This is the agency that was responsible for erecting and maintaining this sign. While this is not the newest sign design, it is the same one that you will find at the top of many other Continental Divide passes in Colorado still today.
