Image Dating Comments
This slide has an indented punch stamp of “Jul 64”. This is presumed to be the development date, but the snowpack in the background suggests that the image was likely captured around this same time.
Comments & Discussion
Hoosier Ridge can be seen in the background on the eastern side of the highway. Take note of the wooden parking bumpers in this slide’s image. These can be used to date other photographs from the era that were captured in this location.
Condition, Aging & Authenticity: There is an even layer of browning over the front cardboard surface of the slide mount. The fading on the back is less even, including some darker aging. One corner has had some red color bleed into it somehow.
