Comments & Discussion

The full scan above shows the ribbed edging of this photograph nicely. This fragile pattern has survived well to this point in time.

Take note of the graffiti on this sign. You won’t see this in the photo from 1953. This is because the sign had either been replaced or repainted (most likely just repainted). The snowpack in the background makes it appear that this is a spring season photograph.

Condition, Aging & Authenticity: The backside shows a few light crease marks and light discoloration around the edges due to aging. The top portion of the ribbed edge pattern is particularly fragile on this photograph, and its survival to this point is remarkable.
