Image Licenses & Ownership – Images on this website will generally fall into 6 different categories, with exceptions:
- Images from the Coloradotopia digital image library. We own the rights to all of these photos.
- Public domain photos.
- Photos licensed from services including Shutterstock.com.
- Photos published under the Creative Commons attribution licenses. These images are published without modification, with exception for basic cropping and scaling, unless otherwise noted.
- Photos published under fair use doctrine for editorial or educational purposes.
- Photos from 3rd party sources that are published with permission from the copyright holders.
