Vail Transportation
Getting around Vail is easy. The main grocery store will require a car or bus ride in order to get there, but aside from that, the two main pedestrian villages should have most of your vacation needs covered and you won’t need a vehicle to get around. Getting between the villages is easy and there is a free bus that runs every few minutes.
Getting to Vail is not as easy. The passes in between Vail and Denver can close, and the airports are no different. Keep this all in mind when planning your trip.

Vail Transportation FAQ
The Eagle airport is closer, but this is a small airport. Denver will be more likely to have convenient flight options for you because it is a major hub with frequent flights from just about everywhere.
Vail Village. The main transportation center is located above the parking garage on S. Frontage Rd. in Vail Village.
Free! The buses that run through the villages and throughout the Vail Valley are all free. The Eagle County bus costs money.
You can do this drive in around 1.5 hours if the weather is reasonable.
There are only two ways in and out of Vail – I-70 Eastbound and I-70 Westbound are the only two ways out of here. Frontage Rd. stops short of leaving the valley on both sides of the interstate… only the bike path continues beyond the dead end on S. Frontage Rd.
