US Highway 160 is the only road to Wolf Creek  – This highway over Wolf Creek Pass is the only way to get to the Wolf Creek Ski Area. If the pass is closed, you won’t be able to access the mountain.

Wolf Creek Pass is one of 15 paved roadways that cross the Continental Divide in Colorado. This isn’t the most dangerous mountain pass in Colorado, but it does get a lot of snow, so driving to Wolf Creek can be dangerous during bad weather (also during good weather).

Directions to Wolf Creek

Durango to Wolf Creek – Take US 550 south through town, and then head east on US 160 just to the south of Durango. Stay on US 160 until you go over Wolf Creek Pass.

Pagosa Springs to Wolf Creek – East on US 160 to the ski resort… nice and simple in good weather.

Alamosa to Wolf Creek – Take US 285 west to Monte Vista. Next, take US 160 west out of Monte Vista towards Wolf Creek. Monte Vista to Wolf Creek Ski Area is about 56 miles.
